Byrnes Health Center was the recipient of a $5000 donation from the York County Medical Foundation to further their health education programs. This donation from the York County Medical Foundation is to support the program Heroin: The Wake Up Call. It is designed for students in grades 7-12. The health educator informs participants about the heroin epidemic in our country, state and region. Students learn factual information about how heroin affects the body and how prescription drug abuse can lead to heroin abuse.
